Dear Friends,

As most of you know, Takin’ it To The Streets is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. This means that the majority of our income is received through donations or fund-raisers. We believe that a Christian’s tithe should go to their local church and that any donations to our ministry should not be included as part of that tithe. However, at the same time, we understand that most of us do not have extra money to give away. Therefore, we have been searching for a way that we can raise money for our ministry on a continuous basis without it being a burden on others.
In our fund-raising quest, we found a company that we feel can do this. The company is EXCEL Communication. EXCEL markets state of the art Communications and Internet Services directly to consumers, like you and me, worldwide. EXCEL has recently expanded their services into the United Kingdom, and in October they are planning to expand even further into Germany.
One of the services that EXCEL offers is their Local Service with a FRIENDS-ARE-FREE plan. This means, if you sign up on the EXCEL Local Service plan, and an out-of-state relative or friend is using the same EXCEL service, all long distance calls between the two of you are just like a local call...FREE! This means you would be able to talk as long as you want with no extra charge.
However, a more important reason for signing up for EXCEL services, besides saving money, is to help further the Kingdom of God. All the commissions earned from the services used will go to Takin’ it To The Streets Ministries. These funds will make it possible for our ministry to continue, enabling us to bring many more people to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
EXCEL is also looking for friendly and ambitious people who might need to earn some extra income. By selling this product, you can work from home, earn extra income, and help Takin’ it To The Streets Ministries raise money all at the same time.

Tee Shirts For Sale

Have you seen our Takin' it to the Streets tee shirts? In case you haven't, you can pretty much tell what they look like by looking at the front and back pages of this newspaper.

We have 2 different style shirts:
On one shirt we have the “Warriors” emblem on the front, where the pocket would generally be. However, we eliminated the scripture because it would have been too small to read. Covering the back of this same shirt is the “Takin' it to the Streets” logo (with bricks) that you see above the photograph on front page of our newspaper.
Our other shirt is reversed, with the “Warriors” emblem (including the scripture) covering the back of the shirt and the “Takin' It To The Streets” logo in small letters on the front, where a pocket would go.
We sell only black or white tee shirts in large, X-large and XX-large. Our shirts sell for $9 a piece. We also sell both sweatshirts (1st style only) and golf shirts (both styles) for only $15 a piece. At this time we only have a few sweatshirts left and we are all out of golf shirts. However, if you would like to put in your order ahead of time, we will be ordering more in the near future.
You can conveniently order through the mail by sending $9 for tee shirts or $15 for golf shirts or sweatshirts (stock permitting), plus $4 for shipping and handling. Just let us know what color, style and size you'd like. Make checks payable to Takin’ It To The Streets. You may want to call us first at 602-817-6803 to see if we have your size in stock. It will generally take 10-14 days for delivery, or you can pick up your tee shirt right away.

I am writing this letter to tell all our Christian friends and members of TTTS that we are proud to be holding a fund-raiser to raise money for TTTS Ministry. This year, we are selling the 2002 Entertainment Books, for which TTTS will make $7 per book sold. These books have saved my family a lot of money over the years while dining out, vacationing (we’ve saved over 50% on hotels!), not to mention the discounts on movie tickets, etc. It is great to know that this year when we buy the book, TTTS will be making money to further its ministry goals.
I would like to encourage all our Christian brothers and sisters to buy their own personal 2002 Entertainment Book from TTTS this year so God’s ministry will be blessed. The books cost $35 each, and $7 from each book sold goes directly to TTTS. So when you own a book and use your money saving coupons, you can be assured that 20% of your money will be used for ministry to bless those less fortunate, such as providing free meals to the poor. The books are available for over 150 cities, so this is a great way to sell more books for our ministry, and save money for our friends and family around the United States. These books make wonderful gifts for family, friends, co-workers, bosses, etc. This year you can email a letter to each of your friends in your personal address book and they can order a book from the internet and TTTS will be blessed. Once they order a book, the company will send the book directly to these people. This enables you to help TTTS with this fund-raiser without requiring a lot of time or effort on your part.
We are asking you to please help TTTS sell these books to your neighbors, co-workers, friends, church members, etc. We are praying God will bless this fund-raiser so we can bless others. Thank you.

We are in desperate need of your financial support. TTTS has been in operation now for approximately 12 years. Throughout this time, your donations have been critical to our survival.
The printing and postage for our newspaper are by far the greatest expenses that we have, and as our mailing list increases, these costs also continue to grow. At this time, we are not even bringing in enough money on a regular basis to support our newspaper, let alone our other ministry expenses.
Some of our other current ministry costs include: food and supplies for the homeless ministry; supplies for our musicians kinship ministry; administrative supplies such as office supplies, website and internet server fees, and voice mail box. These are just a few of the costs that our ministry faces each month. Without your help, our ministry will have to cut way back or we won’t be able to continue operating.
We are also praying for God to supply us with enough money to support some full-time staff. We currently rely totally on part-time volunteers. For a ministry as big as TTTS, we really need several full-time people. By donating to this cause, you can help to make this happen.

Like people and planning parties? TTTS is looking for someone interested in working with our staff in a personnel/public relations type position. Responsibilities would include sending out thank you cards (e.g. for donations, press passes, etc.), birthday and anniversary cards to staff, planning our annual Christmas party. Basically knowing what’s going on with the people involved with this ministry and taking care of them. If this sounds like your type of position, please call Christel at (602) 817-6803. This is a volunteer position.

TTTS Warriors Newspaper is looking for people interested in working as writers, photographers, editors, and typists. We are also seeking a new director for this publication. The director’s responsibilities would include setting deadlines, coordinating content, making sure all required articles and pictures are turned in, and booking location for bi-monthly staff meetings. All positions are volunteer. We are also in desperate need of donations to help with the cost of printing, and/or finding a cheaper way of printing, if possible.
